Disappointed that the girl he loves does not return his affections, Eitaro attempts to commit suicide. But his near dead-body is discovered by a scientist and his mind is transferred to the body of a young girl. As a girl, Eitaro soon learns that the girl of his dreams did in fact love him, so they try to make the relationship work despite the fact that Eitaro is in a girl's body.

A collection of six stories from master of horror Hideshi Hino. In the first story, \"Unusual Fetus: My Baby\", a horror writer jokes with his pregnant wife about her giving birth to a baby lizard, much to her annoyance. But his joke ends up coming true and alizard baby is born. The writer is horrified and tries to get rid of it, but his wife insists on raising it. From there, an unfortunate and bizarre story begins. The second story, \"Flower of Flesh and Blood\", was turned into a direct-to-video film in the Guinea Pig series of movies with Hideshi Hino himself directing. American actor Charlie Sheen one day saw a copy of this film on VHS and contacted the FBI, believing it to be a genuine snuff film...

This manga is partly inspired by the real-life Japanese horse bandit, Hakuro Kohinata, and depicts the tumultuous life of Kensaku Ohinata, who moved to China at a young age, was kidnapped by a group of horse bandits, but rose to prominence among their ranks and eventually grew up to unite a number of them under the name of Xiao Dongyang. Kensaku\'s adventurous spirit and ambition, as well as his positive, brave personality, can sometimes lead to light-hearted mischief, but as he matures into a young man, he grows to experience bouts of delusion. Regarded as one of Mitsuteru Yokoyama\'s most realistic and human works, this manga draws inspiration from another real-life Japanese horse bandit: Date Junnosuke, thus vividly depicting the reality of Chinese horse bandits.

This one-shot originally appeared in 1975 as textless illustrations in the Japanese book (エッセイ集 微熱少年) which contains a collection of essays written by former Happy End member Takashi Matsumoto. In later re-releases of this one-shot, additional Japanese text would be added to some of the one-shot\'s pages.

This series is a precursor to Hiroshi Masumura’s Atagoal. It was serialized in Monthly Magazine Garo (月刊漫画ガロ) from May to December 1975. The story depicts the people of Yonezaad, rising up against the re-invasion of King Carmel, who once ruled the Yonezaad continent. Many characters in Atagoal would make their first appearances in this series (Ex. Hideyoshi, Tempura, Gilbars, and Pantsu) although their roles are significantly different in this series than those from future Atagoal publications.
