The Principal Wife

Moon Guk-hyun (Prince Yeongchin) Onhyukje’s only blood relative and the greatest military commander in Unhyeon. A fully grown, imposing man, everyone who has seen Prince Yeongchin speaks in awe of his towering height, broad shoulders, and powerful build. His presence is on an entirely different level from the other princes, who do little more than bury themselves in books. Even amid the bloody political turmoil sweeping through the court, he remains firmly seated in his position as the Emperor’s right-hand man. Yet, despite ignoring his legitimate wife, Sohyeon, for four years and effectively abandoning her, he still spares the family of the wife who committed the crime of treason. Then, on their wedding day, he suddenly orders preparations to be made, declaring that he intends to finally consummate the marriage he had put off all these years... Woonrang Sohyeon (Woon Sohyeon) A timid and fragile noblewoman from a scholar-official family. She loves dancing and animals, but fears both her father and her older brother. Forced into marriage against her will, she has spent four long years confined to her quarters, neglected and mistreated by her husband’s family. Though she fears her husband, a renowned battlefield general and an imposing man by all accounts, pressure from her family to ensure the survival of their clan forces her to prepare, however awkwardly, to seduce him. +
