Summary
Emperor Geom-Mu and Empress Yi-Ryeong were once a harmonious couple, but their inability to conceive left Yi-Ryeong anxious and obsessively fixated on her husband. In a tragic twist, an accidental injury inflicted by Yi-Ryeong on Geom-Mu leads to her being sentenced to death. However, just as she is about to face her end, news arrives that Geom-Mu has returned to the palace, gravely wounded by a gumiho’s poison during a hunt. The Empress Dowager decrees that the only cure for the Emperor’s affliction is for him to consummate with Yi-Ryeong. Torn between her lingering guilt and an uncontrollable Emperor transformed into a beastly shadow of himself, Yi-Ryeong must face a night of both passion and peril.
