As an average high schooler rushes down a flight of stairs to peek up a girl's skirt, he carelessly slips and sustains a head injury. Upon waking up, he discovers that he has become Yamcha, a character from the popular manga series Dragon Ball. Aware of Yamcha's repeated demises in the storyline and his reputation as a comical figure in reality, the student must leverage his vast knowledge of the manga to evade Yamcha's previous miserable destiny.

However, the newfound partnership comes with a caveat of secrecy imposed by the watchful exorcist society.
