The story of the characters of In the Walnut is actually a spin off a oneshot that was published in Keijijyou na Bokura (Our Everlasting) volume 2. What do a gallery owner, Hideo Tanizaki, and a young, naïve filmmaker, Sohei Nakai, have in common? Well, both of them are 24 years old – that’s a good start. They both graduated from the same art school – that can’t hurt either. The fact that Tanizaki has a penchance for art forgery is just one “minor” difference between the two that Tanizaki hopes to rectify pretty quickly.
Jung Euimoon and Eun Myroyung are both members of the second Biology Club, which has been downgraded to the oldest facilities in the school to make room for the new Biology Club. Jung Euimoon uses Bunsen burners to cook his breakfast and routinely camps out at the Biology Club room to get away from his numerous siblings. Eun is a loner and reads tarot cards--which always foretell unhappy auguries--to amuse herself. They each think the other is strange. These two seem to be opposites, but they have more in common than they think. Who knows what the future holds in store for them.

Biskyu believed the person was a woman and wanted to sacrifice his life for her. However, his savior was a *king* of Castral, Erudora, who's 700 years old. (Erudora contracted with the Gyokuto people who have magical powers to cure any diseases. In return for his blood, Erudora received eternal life and awful blue blood which grows the medicinal herb.) Biskyu has the opportunity to become a knight Erudora's daughter, but instead falls in love with Erudora again. Biskyu, learning of the conspiracy by the Minister of Justice to try and kill Erudora, escapes with Erudora to release him from his accursed fate...

Upon confessing his own past to Ishuca, Blood promised never to kill another human. Having completed their journey - and with the aim of finding the jewel that Wild, the jewel-dealer, had asked for - they find themselves at the Toei Cliffs . . . !? Volume 8-9 is a special one, as it talks about Rapunzel's side story. There's an additional volume called Koori no mamono no monogatari Gaiden, which is an anthology of short stories featuring different protagonists of the story.
