Yuki no Kakera Aya usually has the library to herself after school - that is, until she witnesses an incident that leads to her discovery of Tono’s feelings for her fellow librarian, Konno. The three end up spending time together, and Aya finds it odd that she can’t stop watching them. To get home, he must collect "evil auras" (evil spirits), so he sets up Enjaku Detective Agency, specializing in strange and paranormal cases to make his search easier. For better or worse, he attracts Mayura Daidouji— a mystery-crazed teenage girl who quickly appoints herself a member of his detective agency. Soon more gods come down to the human world to kill Loki under Odin's order. Just why is Odin trying to kill him?

Akatsuki: a powerful demon of illness, which infects victims, turning their eyes red, and slowly kills them. Usually, they take the form of a strong monster connected to the victim's body. The only way to cure the victims infected with Akatsuki is to slash the victim's body with special anti-Akatsuki weapons, known as "Crave." The people who possess and use these weapons are called "Kiri-Isha" (Slash Doctors). Hibiki, the protagonist of this story, is a Kiri-isha. He is partnered with Kirisa, another Kiri-Isha. Their mission is to cure people infected with Akatsuki.
This manga starts out with Akabane being sucked into a different world with another boy (Moriya) and run into a girl named Marion, who is a fighter. Apparently only through the exchange of body fluids between the two boys can power her up to fight against various monsters attacking.
