Despite the inherent difficulties of street life, Ryuusei takes comfort in the independence it allows. While scavenging one day, he inadvertently wanders into gang-controlled turf and becomes involved in a heated altercation with a group of unruly thugs. In the midst of the commotion, a young girl comes running over, ecstatic at the sight of a cute litter of kittens.
