Things go well for the two until an impending campaign run urges Alvin away to Milano. Neri, uninterested in politics, turns down Alvin's invitation to join him there, and Alvin, distrusting Neri's loyalty in the relationship, takes off for Milano alone. Note: Wild Cats III (the 3rd chapter) was never compiled into the 2000s tankoubon edition. The book published in 2000 includes Wild Cats I, Wild Cats II and also a prologue for Himitsu - The Top Secret series. The 2006s kanzenban edition includes all three chapters of Wild Cats.
