Neko Ramen is a Japanese four-panel comic strip manga. The comedy centers around a cat (Taishou) and his encounters while running a ramen shop. Taishou is the entrepreneurial ramen chef and sole proprietor of Neko Rahmen, the only restaurant in Tokyo run by a cat! His primary goal is to make money and expand his ramen business, with a secondary plan of customer satisfaction, or at least entertainment… Mr. Tanaka is a Japanese business man who is the only regular customer at Neko Rahmen, despite rarely receiving a decent meal. Mr. Tanaka plays the straight-man to the easily excitable and scheming Taishou. He is extremely diplomatic and polite, and will try to intervene to soothe Taishou when he gets agitated.
Released in 1983 by Shueisha, this volume brings together two special one-shots of Masami Kurumada published in previous years. The manga also includes six chapters of Sukeban Arashi, which had not been added to the previously released two volumes of this series.

As the series progresses, the story changes focus to the relationship that develops between Harima and Tenma's close friend, Eri Sawachika, which results from various embarrassing situations involving Eri and Harima. Harima also develops a relationship with Tenma's younger sister Yakumo Tsukamoto, who begins to assist Harima with the development and drawing of his manga. As the story progresses, Harima gets himself into romantic situations with Tenma, the relationship between Tenma and Karasuma progresses, and Eri's and Yakumo's bonds with Harima grow stronger.
