1492 in the Gregorian calendar marked an era of peace in the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado, where the Luxurors lived lavishly while the underprivileged Casualries struggled to make ends meet in a caste-based society. The Mikado citadel was guarded against unwanted demons by samurai, comprising both classes. Walter, a hotheaded Casualry boy, and his friend Gina, a childhood acquaintance, were two of the fresh samurai recruits with complementing personalities - while Walter always found himself in trouble, Gina would bail him out. However, one dark evening, Gina arrived just in time to prevent Walter from seeking out a powerful demon, but their good fortune didn't last long. Ambushed by mysterious forces, they were transported to another realm, but managed to escape with minor injuries. Though Walter initially appeared fine, his health began to deteriorate. But, despite his unwell disposition, Walter was tasked with investigating the strange phenomenon of "literature," which infected people and transformed them into demons. As Walter became increasingly skeptical of his samurai responsibilities, his symptoms intensified. Finally, succumbing to the temptation of the forbidden "literature," Walter snuck into the Monastery's safe-keeping to read the confiscated book. As the pages unfolded before him, the very foundations of his home - the kingdom - started to crumble away.
Prayers follows Jonathan and another young boy named Asuma, who both seek to become Samurai. A mysterious samurai saves them when they were young from the fallen angel Amy.

This messenger proclaims that the various abnormal changes in the world are the work of the Devil. The world will come to an end unless the Devil is conquered. The manga that made Tezuka famous. It is an action-adventure drama inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's book. One day a boy named Pete finds a map of "Treasure Island" that his deceased father left behind. He starts on a voyage to find it together with "Captain," who was a friend of his father. But his ship is attacked by pirates, led by Bowarl, and the two are caught. When a storm hits the pirate ship, the two are thrown into the sea and washed up on the shore of a solitary island in the southern ocean. To their surprise, this island is the one they have been looking for.... The Western-style art and fast-paced storyline attracted much attention, and it became a best seller with 400,000 copies sold, laying the groundwork for the manga craze and its modern style. The original version of "New Treasure Island" was based on Tezuka Osamu's manuscript, but substantial modifications were made by Sasaki Shichima, who cut nearly 60 pages and also changed some of the lines. When publishing "The Complete Works of Tezuka Osamu," Tezuka Osamu remade it based on his memory to make it closer to his original. Was adapted into animation.
In the previous "Kung-Fu Boy" series, Chinmi became the master of Kempo at Dairin temple, where he trained disciples. When they lose contact with Kyorinji, a temple of the same sect, Chinmi is dispatched to the Kanan Autonomous region to investigate.
