Based off Nitro+CHiRAL's “Brain Crash Story” game of the same name. The story takes place many years in the future where the game "Rhyme", a virtual fighting game, is incredibly popular and people posses "All Mates", convenient AI computers. Aoba leads an ordinary life, working at a junk shop and living with his grandmother on the Island of Midori Jima. Unlike his friends, he doesn't participate in Rhyme, nor does he belong in a gang. However, when rumors of people disappearing spread, Aoba finds himself needing to unravel the mysteries behind the island in order to protect his everyday life.

The summer break is about to end and Lu Mingfei (Luminous) is just doing his best to survive it. In the middle of this, his classmate Johann Chu shows up to bring him back into the world of dragons. Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission is a spin-off manga and the sequel to Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Dark Demon Realm Mission!. One of the Japanese promos calls it "Da Vinci Code meets Jurassic Park". I think that sums it up pretty nicely. It's got dinosaurs, spies, intrigue, action, and conspiracy, all rendered in lovely film noir-esque art with a little fan service cherry on top (Lily!). And for the slightly geeky, it's got cool (and sometimes obscure) references to art, literature, film, history, science... you name it. Definitely a manga for adults!
