On a coaching journey in the Bayankala Mountain Range in the Qinghai Province of China, his father Genma and Ranma Saotome belong to the cursed springs at Jusenkyo. They take the physical kind of whatever drowned there hundreds or 1000s of years past every time they touch cold-water when somebody falls into a spring. The hex will revert when exposed until their chilly water exposure to hot-water. While Ranma falls into the springtime of a drowned woman Genma falls to the springtime of a panda. Upon returning to Japan, the pair settle in Nerima, Tokyo in the dojo of Genma's old friend Soun Tendo, a fellow professional of Musabetsu Kakuto Ryu or "Anything-Goes School" of martial-arts which Genma passed on to Ranma. Soun and Genma concurred years ago that their kids would marry and carry-on the Tendo Dojo. Soun has three teenaged daughters: the somewhat spiteful, martial-arts, the indifferent and selfish Nabiki and the easygoing and polite Kasumi training Akane. Akane, who's Ranma's age, is named for bridal duty by her sisters using the logical thinking that because Ranma is just a guy half of that time period and Akane dislikes guys, they're perfect together. Both Akane and Ranma refuse the betrothal initially, having not been consulted on the conclusion, however they can be usually handled as betrothed and wind up saving or helping each other on some events. They can be generally found in the business of each other and therefore are always claiming in their own hallmark clumsy love-hate mode which is a franchise focus. Where he finally falls to the Spring of Drown Piglet, Ryoga, seeking revenge on Ranma, adopted him to Jusenkyo. Now when splashed with cold-water he takes the kind of a small pig. Not understanding this, Akane requires the piglet as names and a pet it Pchan, but Ranma understands and loathes him for using the scenario and keeping this key. Another competitor is the nearsighted Mousse, who becomes a duck when he gets damp and also falls into the pool that is magic, last but not least, there's Ranma's impish grand-master, Happosai, who spends his time stealing the panties of schoolgirls. In order to satisfy their own needs for land and resources, Man is encroaching on their sacred territory, cutting down the trees and destroying everything else that stand in their path. As a result, the animal gods became angry and attacked the encampment. Into this conflict wanders a young boy, Ashitaka, a refugee of the Emishi people. His people still live in hiding, but when his village was attacked, he shot and killed one of the animal gods. For this he has been given the curse of death. He has begun a search through Japan to find the secret of his curse when he arrives at the encampment. Outside of the encampment he is attacked by the "Monster Princess", a girl raised in the woods by Moro no Kimi (a 300 year old female wolf god) and who is driven by a fierce hatred for the humans who are destroying the forest. She has repeatedly attacked the encampment, but after she meets Ashitaka, she becomes torn between her loyalty to the animal-gods and the world of the humans. Surrounded by the warring characters of the humans on one side and the animal-gods on the other, each side believing in the righteouness of its cause, it is Ashitaka and San who must face each other personally and, by the end of the film, come to an understanding of each other's world and make the attempt to coexist without hatred and violence. Not far from the heart of the sacred forest where the great Deer God dwells, a new town called Irontown is founded. Conflict seems inevitable. A young girl, raised by wolves, and a warrior bearing a curse inflicted by the hatred of a dying Boar God are trying to make things right. Will they succeed?

Change 123 follows Motoko Gettou, a not-so-average teenage girl. Orphaned at an early age after the death of her mother, she was taken in by her "three fathers," each a master of a different style of martial arts or combat-training. Under the care of each parent, a young Motoko was subjected to excessively rigorous training. So much was the physical and mental strain that Motoko developed three split-personalities, known as the HiFuMi, consisting of the ever hard-headed Hibiki, quick and agile Fujiko, and cute and immature Mikiri, each individually skilled in combat skills learned from each master. One day, a man begins to harass a terrified Motoko, now in high school, as he catches her alone down an alleyway. A classmate of hers, Teruharu Kosukegawa, tries to help Motoko, only in time to watch as an infuriated Hibiki kicks the harassing man directly across his path straight into a car. Returning to herself, a shocked Motoko promises Kosukegawa she will do anything if he doesn't tell her secret. From here poor Kosukegawa must manage a flurry of combat fighting and ecchi madness as he is brought along for the ride of his life into the chaotic lifestyle of HiFuMi. But what initially developed as a friendship seems to have become more to Kosukegawa as he longs to tell Motoko his feelings for her -- if he can manage to survive long enough to confess, let alone find the opportune moment.
