He confronts a continuous self-struggle between making joyful someone he knows well from a young age (specifically Yuno), along with others he understands less. The original setting of the narrative is an injury. The narrative is character-driven mainly by insufficient sexual and judgement instincts for the need to have sexual activity. One underlying theme is all about well-being in a connection. Another motif (that's common in Masahiro's function) is that love is powerful but fine, and such a thing can cause the connection to be split.
