At 30 years old, Kiriya Rinji finds himself divorced and out of work, possessing a sole ability in playing online mahjong. Kiriya Rinji, an online mahjong player, neglected his life in order to become good at it, which ended in his wife divorcing him. In order to pay the child support for his daughter, Koume, he goes to the seedy Kabukichou district and starts playing east-only games. Barely surviving thanks to his online experience, he decides to adjust his playing style for real mahjong. At that time, his ex-wife, Hanako, suddenly collapses and Rinji has to take care of his daughter Koume.
