In the year 2199 a diving mecha gains consciousness, with the help of a Guardian of Atlantis crystal, and declares war on mankind. The robot, who calls himself Absolute, also learned how to use the “Light of Atlantis” power source to raise the city from the depths of the Atlantic ocean, and turn it into a robot city. There are humans that hold crystals as well, but it’s taking all the power they have just to keep themselves alive. For 100 years Absolute did everything in his power to wipe out the human race…until the day the first Guardian of Atlantis, Saturn, returned to Earth to reclaim his city. Upon arriving, Saturn reluctantly teams with the humans to try to defeat the mighty Absolute. Saturn and the other 5 Guardians, must find a way to reach New Atlantis, and destroy Absolute if they are to reclaim the city…and reclaim Earth.
Mozuya Koto is afflicted with the medically accepted disorder known as Dr Josef Tsundere’s Bipolar Personality Disorder, or just “tsundere” for short. With her golden hair, blue eyes, twin tail, and being rich on top of all that, Mozuya Koto comes equipped with all the basic necessities of being a top class tsundere. When Mozuya wants to be friends with somebody or when she likes somebody, she will take offensive actions that are completely opposite from what a normal person would actually do in the same situation and it is completely outside of Mozuya’s control. The manga is pretty serious most of the time, focusing on Mozuya’s troubles with getting along with people as she keeps turning violent due to her tsundere disorder.
Giant Step is a shounen, sports comedy. With it's relation to Prince of Tennis being in some of the art of attacks and their relation to tennis. If you have already read Prince of Tennis or even a little bit of it and it was too serious for you then Giant Step would be good to check out.
